Music that moves both the heart and booty!

A New Orleans-bred pianist and composer, Masha J. Davey is rooted in the vibrant traditions of her hometown's Black-American musical culture. Her music blends the rhythmic fusion of Afro-Caribbean and funk grooves with the soulful melodies of the blues, creating a sound both timeless and fresh.  

From a young age, Masha immersed herself in music—playing guitar at six, trumpet at nine, and piano in her school jazz band. Her passion led her to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, where she honed her craft in a rigorous program that has trained countless influential artists in jazz and contemporary music.

Earning a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, she double-majored in sound design and film scoring, discovering her love for record production in her junior year. In 2022, she released her debut EP, "Into the Night", and is now preparing her full-length album, set for Fall 2026.  

Her full length album "Give Me Funk or Give Me Death!" —a live 20-piece fusion band—will pay tribute to her hometown and its rich musical legacy. Masha invites you to join her on this journey as she continues to push boundaries, honor traditions, and share her love for music with the world.
